- The Dentsu Group of companies, its officers, and employees are committed to protecting the interests of our stakeholders by conducting business within the highest ethical standards. To achieve this commitment, we have established the Dentsu Group Code of Conduct to serve as our basic principles for conducting business in a socially responsible manner.

- We will comply with laws and regulations in all the markets in which we conduct business.
- We will respect diversity and will not discriminate on any basis. We will also respect the diverse social and standards of each region in which we conduct business.
We address Seven Core Subjects for Dentsu’s CSR.
We respect the interests of our stakeholders and will refrain from inappropriate activities or taking unnecessary risks that might harm these interests. Our officers will take responsibility for developing and maintaining appropriate corporate governance systems.
Our major efforts include the following:
We create rules and regulations and develop manuals, and then familiarize all employees with the appropriate work procedures through training and other sessions.
We have established, manage, and operate the system that will prevent the expansion of and minimize damage in emergency situations by assuming various risks. Specifically, we will annually review the assumed risks for the year, identify important ones from among those that are highly influential, and take especially strict countermeasures against them. The respective important risks are assigned to certain departments, who then create and operate a response plan with the specific goal of reducing the risks. To achieve risk management on a PDCA cycle, we conduct self-evaluation at each year end and create policies for the next year.
We comply with internationally recognized principles of human rights. We respect the human rights of all people connected with our business activities and will not discriminate on any basis. We participate in training hosted by Dentsu targeting new employees, where they take training programs on human rights.
Additionally, persons from the Corporate Division provide the necessary training sessions targeting all the employees. For the invitation to a human-rights slogan developed by Dentsu, there are applications not only from our employees but also from their families. We also have internally established a consultation desk for harassment in order to protect the human rights of our employees and realize and maintain a comfortable working environment.
We will ensure that our work places are safe and create a civilized working environment.
Our major efforts include the following:
Persons from the Corporate Division and the persons in charge of time management formulate, decide, and promote plans for reducing overtime work and encouraging vacations by the employees.
We have been focusing more on mental health. With persons from the Corporate Division and industrial doctors working together, we promote the management of physical and mental health of our employees.
From the standpoint of ensuring safety and achieving business continuity in an emergency, we have established a structure to swiftly confirm safety and to check on employees, especially in the event of injuries the possibility of making contact.
In addition to ordinary annual paid holidays, all employees are given three days off annually as personal holidays. We also encourage them to take a long summer vacation of nine or more consecutive days.
We employ human resources with a variety of possibilities and have introduced a personnel system that develops a working environment where employees can work enthusiastically. We employ all types of human resources regardless of sex and age and focus on developing an environment where they can fully demonstrate their abilities. The percentage of women among all the employees is 35.8% as of the end of March 2015, and we actively promote the appointment of women to managerial positions. We have established a structure in response to the revised Childcare and Family-care Leave Act, such as childcare leave for employees raising a child and a part-time working system for childcare. We have in the Corporate Division a consultation desk for raising children and working at the same time . Additionally, we have a system of rehiring employees who are at the retirement age (60) and employ them until 65.
